Responsible Gaming

The FSGA takes responsible gambling seriously and recognizes the role that member companies play in identifying and curtailing obsessive behavior and helping those suffering from problem gambling.

With guidance from some of the most accomplished professionals in the industry the FSGA has created nine principles for responsible gambling. These principles are designed to provide guidance for FSGA member companies.

Nine Principles for Responsible Gambling:
1. Embed a culture of responsible gambling in their businesses.
2. Actively prevent high-risk users, underage, and excluded individuals from participating in any form of gambling.
3. Provide trustworthy and accessible responsible gambling information to all users.
4. Encourage users to set time and financial budgets they can afford.
5. Offer resources for users who are actively seeking support related to their gambling, including those looking to self- exclude.
6. Support the adoption and effective promotion of a unified, nationwide responsible gambling toll-free helpline.
7. Refrain from misleading advertising practices and abide by all federal, state, and provincial marketing regulations.
8. Avoid marketing that may target underage users.
9. Support a collaborative approach to problem gambling, including data sharing and partnering with legally licensed operators in the US Market.
