6 Days to Vegas: Make Facebook part of your fantasy business team

Fantasy sports players understand the value of online connections, and there’s no bigger place to connect with fantasy players than Facebook. The key is to learn how best to use Facebook to find, capture and retain current and future players.

At the Fantasy Sports Trade Association’s Winter Conference in Jan. 15-16 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, the connection between fantasy sports and Facebook will be better understood. The 2:15 p.m. session on Jan. 16, “Successfully Marketing Fantasy Sports on Facebook ” will offer tips and insight as to how to can better promote, market and advertise your fantasy sports business on Facebook. Whether it’s working directly with Facebook or simply utilizing its platform, hearing Facebook’s point of view on fantasy will go a long way toward increasing your company’s brand awareness and impact in the marketplace.

Moderator Howard Kamen, the senior manager of content acquisition and distribution for Gannett Digital Ventures/USA Today will discuss these issues with Owen O’Donoghue of Facebook’s North America Casino & Fantasy Sports division.


The 2015 Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA) will hold its annual Winter Conference on Jan. 15-16 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Among the planned events is the FSTA Experts’ League Fantasy Baseball Draft, Live on SIRIUS XM Radio, on Jan. 15 and sessions on fantasy sports legal issues, new product launches and marketing fantasy sports on Facebook.
