Tallahassee, Fla. – The Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA) today released the following statement attributed to FSTA Chairman Peter Schoenke, regarding legislation to keep fantasy sports legal in the State of Florida. The Senate Bill, SB 832, is sponsored by State Senator Joe Negron (R-Stuart), and the House Bill is slated to be introduced by State Representative Matt Gaetz (R-Fort Walton Beach).

“The FSTA welcomes legislation confirming that fantasy sports are fully legal in Florida. The FSTA looks forward to making ourselves available to Senator Negron, Representative Gaetz and other legislators to find the best rules and practices to ensure that the 3 million fantasy sports players in Florida can continue to play the games they love. ”
