What Makes This Product Worthy of Winning This Category?Ninety-four percent of FanDuel ‘s 5M+ user base rely on the FanDuel mobile app to play DFS, a number that has grown drastically over the past 3.5 years, since the app first launched in April 2012. An app supporting users of that number needs to be extremely user friendly. Whenever we design a feature for mobile – live scoring experience, lineup selections and edits, withdrawing and adding funds, adding multiple entries, etc. – we take great pains to make sure that feature is easy to use, displays information for easy viewing, and that actions can be completed with the fewest interactions possible. One notable example of the latter is our users are able to add multiple entries with just two taps. We have invested significant resources into the development of our mobile offering for iPhone and Android to make it the most consistent and reliable platform to play one day fantasy sports. Just recently, we released Version 1.12 (iOS) and Version 1.4 (Android), both live and available for download in the respective app stores. The crash rate is well below mobile industry standard and FanDuel engineers are on call 24/7 should any issues arise. Users are able to deposit and withdraw from their accounts easily and can then quickly go back to the live scoring page with just one click. Further, the mobile app now features racetrack visualizations, which was so popular amongst users that it was later mirrored by the website. We want to raise the bar. We also now feature an Apple Watch app for checking progress quickly and easily without picking up your phone. These developments and resources invested into FanDuel’s mobile product speak to why it is worthy of winning the award for “Best Fantasy Mobile App” and has been vital to the explosive growth that FanDuel and the industry have seen in recent years.
