Alphastreak is the first to offer daily contests where customers can choose fantasy lineups with athletes from more than one sport at the same time.

While  fantasy  contests  are  traditionally  played  for  one  sport  only,  only Alphastreak currently offers  true cross-sport  contests.  Alphastreak Cross-sport  contests  offer marquee-type  rosters  like  “LeBron – Brady “  or “Arrieta – Gronkowski ” all  in  one  lineup.  These contests  allow  us  to  offer  viable  contests  for  contests  such  as  Superbowl,  World  Series  and  other  similar  events  where  there  are  not  enough  events from  one  sport  to  make  up  a  viable  contest.

Cross sport on other sites is just not the same.  You have to play one week of NBA, then one week of NHL, then one week of something else… and a certain number of people get cut each week, it’s too complicated.  Those contests aren’t daily and aren’t truly cross sport.  The Alphastreak / Fanpicks contests require customers pick 6 athletes from one sport, 3 from another for a total of 9 roster spots from 2 or 3 different leagues.

Not everyone can just easily “make ” Cross Sport.  We did in depth analysis on FPPTs scored per $1000 salary cap wagered per League type and then ADJUSTED all of our sports scoring to equal roughly the same FPPTs per $1000 spent.  If we DID NOT do this, customers would purposely spend the majority of salcap on one of the sports and spend less on the other sport which defeats the purpose of the contest which is a customer could win by making smart picks across all positions, not just loading up Salary Cap cash on one sport.

The contests are played and resolved on the same day in most cases.  Rare exceptions may allow for the contest to span 2 days.

WHAT MAKES THIS PRODUCT WORTHY OF WINNING
This unique contest-type solves a major problem for fantasy operators and fantasy enthusiasts alike, which is a UIGEA Fantasy carve-out stipulation whereby fantasy contest participants must choose athletes from more than one sporting event to fill out their lineup. This is normally not an issue in the regular season, but come playoff-time for major sports there are often not two events from the same sport available to be put into one contest. Consider championship games or series, as well as all-star games where there are no other games from the same sport available to package into a contest. Cross-sport contests allow Alphastreak to offer viable contests for contests such as Superbowl, World Series and other similar events where there are not enough events from one sport to make up a viable contest. Fantasy site operators had their hands tied and could not offer contests that included these huge spectator events… until now.
