19 Days to NYC: DreamCo Design’s Jay Correia On the Value of the Summer Conference Sponsorship

By Will Mossa,    FSGA Event News

Jay Correia is the owner and senior consultant of DreamCo Design in West Dundee, IL. He has developed Websites, marketing solutions, and print material for a broad range of customers for more a decade. He talks about the value of the FSTA Summer Conference:

FSTA: What is the value to your company of an FSTA sponsorship?

Correia: For the FSTA members that already know us, sponsoring the conference demonstrates to them the value we see in the conference itself. For businesses new to the FSTA it helps our team earn that small bit of extra recognition, as there is virtually nothing more important than a professional Website, app, or marketing strategy in the fantasy sports industry and that’s exactly what our team delivers.

FSTA: As the industry continues to grow, why is attending the FSTA Summer Conference so important?

Correia: Attending the FSTA conference is an absolute must if you’re a serious business in the fantasy sports industry. There is no better way to get legal updates, network with others, and learn what is happening with new Websites, apps, and fantasy sports in general than networking with the decision makers who attend the conference.

FSTA: What should first-time attendees do to make this a successful conference?

Correia: Follow the conference schedule and be ready to take notes. The first night of the conference is great for networking, explaining yourself, meeting, greeting, and learning about who else is in the industry. The second day is a marathon of learning and sitting, listening, taking notes, and asking questions will get anyone off to a great start.

FSTA: What are the important topics that you are interested in hearing more about during the conference? Is there a ‘can’t-miss’ session for you?

Correia: The elevator pitch is always interesting, as is the statistical reports for how the industry is trending in terms of the number of users, most specifically the percentage of people who play season long as compared to daily, and how that gap is closing.

FSTA: When the conference is over, what will you hope to take away from the two days in New York?

Correia: Our take-home goal would be to have continued to strengthen the business relationships and partnerships we already have while also making sure we’ve done our job in exposing our company to anyone looking to get into the industry or in need of a revamp of their Website, app, or marketing strategy for better market penetration.

The 2015 FSTA Summer Conference is June 22-23 at the Crowne Plaza Times Square Hotel in New York City. Registration for this event is still open. To register, go to www.fstaconference.com.
