CANDIDATE #13

Name: Gregory Kirstein
FSGA Member Company: Paysafe

Professional and personal background:

I’ve been working at Paysafe for close to 9 years, where I’ve served in a business development & strategy role focused on growing & managing the company’s North American iGaming business (Fantasy Sports, Online Sports Betting, iCasino, Poker, iLottery).

After joining in 2013, I attended my first FSGA conference and was responsible for growing the company’s fantasy sports business, where we pioneered the modernization and localization of payments for the emerging DFS market, while also playing a pivotal role in the importance of self-regulation.

I’ve lived through all the ups and down this industry has endured, while managing relationships with FSGA companies that have gone on to be some of the biggest players in the US iGaming industry.

I have extensive knowledge in the convergence of payments and gaming, and believe my skillset & experience can be an asset to the future growth of our industry.

Outside of work, I’m born and raised in Montreal, Canada (GO HABS GO), where I continue to live today. I attended school at the University of Miami, and am a passionate Miami football fan (Dolphins & Hurricanes). I also recently became a first time father to my 1 year old son, Cameron.

Statement of Interest & Vision:

Joining the FSGA in an extended role has always been something that I wanted to get involved with. This organization gave me my head start in the US iGaming industry, where I’ve built a network that I’m profoundly proud of.

Some of those people sit on the FSGA board today, while others have become some of the most powerful and influential executives in our industry – and for me, it all started at the FSTA conference in Las Vegas in 2013.

I think my background & experience lend itself well to bringing a different dynamic to the existing board. I’ve watched so many start up Fantasy sports companies neglect payments while building their platform, only to learn later that finding the right payment solution/partner is very difficult to come by.

In my role, I’d help advise companies & work with fellow FSGA board members to educate the industry on the crucial role that payments play and the importance of getting in right. Paysafe has been deeply committed to this organization for nearly a decade, and I hope to have the opportunity to be apart of the next wave our industry’s growth.
