Professional and personal background:
Zach Doctor is the cofounder and CEO of WagerWire, where he oversees all elements of the business from partnership development, fundraising, product, data science, media and content, finances and internal operations. Zach founded his first company before his Bar Mitzvah, flipping high end bicycle tires on eBay with his brother as his business partner while growing up in Silicon Valley. That business is now a family of e-commerce sites selling a full suite of bike products, led by BikeTiresDirect.com and WesternBikeWorks.com. After graduating from UCLA he cut his teeth financing M&A deals at PNC Business Credit where he reached Vice President at just age 26, before leaving to found WagerWire in 2021.
Statement of Interest & Vision:
WagerWire was founded with the goal of creating a better gaming experience through our secondary marketplace for sports bets and fantasy entries, paired with engaging and entertaining content and media. We deliberately took the strategy of going B2B with our technology and partnering with existing operators so we can reach more players with this new functionality and try to improve the gaming experience from within. Since joining FSGA in 2021 after meeting the legendary Rick Wolf at another conference, we have felt so warmly welcomed and supported in this awesome community. It inspires us to continue working tirelessly to build and advance the industry into a more sustainable and entertaining experience that we ourselves want to play and participate in. I would be honored to join the FSGA board and contribute my perspective of an entrepreneur in the industry and how best to foster an inclusive and innovative environment for other startups and larger operators alike.

Name: JD Garner
FSGA Member Company: GambleID/TSEVO
Professional and personal background:
I bring more than 25 years of expertise in the areas of Start-Ups, IT/Digital Products, and Investment/Company Exits, coupled with 20 years of experience in regulated gaming, where I’ve gained significant knowledge in payments, compliance, and licensing. For over a decade, I’ve been an active member of the FSTA/GA, cultivating strong connections within the online gaming, sports, fantasy, fintech, and investment sectors. My company (GambleID) currently provides services to over 200 gaming operators and my extensive reach into multiple gaming verticals will provide diverse insight into issues within the Fantasy Sports industry.
Statement of Interest & Vision:
My vision for the FSGA in 2024 is structured around three key initiatives. Firstly, the FSGA aims to serve as a pioneering organization for states navigating the complexities of regulatory and licensing frameworks, particularly those contemplating the endorsement of traditional Sports Book betting. This approach positions us as a central figure in guiding these processes, simultaneously securing our role as a primary partner for investors keen on penetrating this market. Secondly, we plan to collaborate closely with the investment sector, leveraging our specialized knowledge and connections to support Fantasy Sports businesses seeking funding. Lastly, we aim to enhance our engagement with mainstream media and the press, aspiring to elevate Fantasy Sports to the level of widespread popularity enjoyed by games like Candy Crush among the broader online and mobile gaming audience.

Name: Joshua L. Kirschner
FSGA Member Company: Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP
Professional and personal background:
Personally, I am an avid (but not-so-good) fantasy sports player and sports bettor as well as a dad to my son Jordan and two dogs, Lily and Kevin. Professionally, I got my start in the industry working for Sands China in Macao more than a decade ago and since held a few different jobs, including VP of Legal & Government Affairs at PrizePicks. I am now an attorney at Nelson Mullins and help to lead our gaming industry group. I am also a multi-year member of the FSGA and have served on the government affairs and conference planning committees.
Statement of Interest & Vision:
At the highest level, my vision for FSGA is that of a big tent. As our industries diversify so too does its membership. Although Fantasy Sports operations will always be the tentpole of FSGA, it should no longer standalone. The FSGA should recognize both the growth of various sports wagering and exchange operations and the ever-growing constellation of companies that support, orbit and undergird operators on both sides of the aisle. At its core, FSGA needs to not only be a marketplace for a free exchange of ideas among members and a central meeting spot for collaboration but redouble its efforts with policymakers and key stakeholders to ensure a place at the table for the fantasy sports and sports wagering community members of all shapes and sizes.

Name: Greg Kirstein
FSGA Member Company: Paysafe
Professional and personal background:
I am the GM of Paysafe’s North American iGaming business, where I oversee a team full of sales & relationship managers focused on the growth of this category for the company. I’ve been with Paysafe since 2013, supporting the company’s re-entry into the U.S. market, partnering with operators in the first three U.S. states to pass iGaming legislation (NJ, NV, DE). Around the same time, as a group, we identified the growing momentum/disruption taking place around Fantasy Sports and became the “defacto” payments provider for the developing Daily Fantasy industry, where we continue to support the largest players in the space today. Over the next several years, we continued growing our North American iGaming business, where are now the leading payment provider for iGaming in North America, which includes close to 80+ operators across iCasino, Sportsbetting, Poker, iLottery, Fantasy, Social & Skill Games. Over that time span, I’ve held different roles, including becoming part of senior management in 2020, as well as obtaining my MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queens University (Kingston, Ontario). Outside of my professional career, I’m a passionate sports fan (diehard Miami Dolphins & Montreal Canadiens fan) and have been playing fantasy sports for 20+ years. I’m also a father of two, and my 3-year-old son already knows how to pronounce “Tua Tago-vai-loa”.
Statement of Interest & Vision:
Being a member of the FSGA Board of Directors would be incredibly meaningful to me personally, as I got my start in this industry in 2013, and the FSGA winter conference in 2014 was the first professional conference/tradeshow I’ve ever attended. Outside of personal experience, I believe having representation from Paysafe as part of the FSGA board can add a tremendous amount value and much needed diversity given the critical role we play in the industry’s success (payments). In today’s climate with the emergence of “DFS 2.0” – where we support Prizepicks, Underdog & Betr – having a voice/advocate with a payments background can help the board (and industry) navigate and be prepared for any potential challenges that arise from both a regulatory & payments perspective. We’re also supporting many of the traditional DFS operators like Draft Kings, as well as some of the emerging players around pools, fantasy etc. Additionally, my boss and President of Paysafe’s Global Gaming Business (Zak Cutler), is a former operator and worked at Draft Kings from 2014-2017, so we are fiercely dedicated to supporting the industry’s growth and sustainability. I sincerely appreciate the consideration here, and I hope both my personal experience – as well as Paysafe’s experience in this space – are enough to convince you of the value I would bring to the board.

I am the CEO and founder of Five Star Fans where we gamified college sports for fans. I am a former division 1 athlete from The Ohio State University!

Name: Benny Ricciardi
FSGA Member Company: FTN Network
Professional and personal background:
Investor, producer, manager and operator in the fantasy sports and gaming industry for over a decade. Current Chief Marketing Officer/Investor at the FTN Network. Has worked for/with operators on the fantasy sports and betting sides in various partnership roles throughout the last decade. FSWA award winner for Baseball and basketball, FSGA radio show of the Year winner.
Statement of Interest & Vision:
The FSGA is the premiere resource for our industry. The conferences are a great place to meet people, make business connections, and see new products/services. The problem is that happens only twice per year. My Vision is to see a more robust exchange of information and help throughout the rest of the year. A better user experience on the FSGA website would make it the go to resource. Directories, forums, a discord, and a newsletter would all go to cementing the organization as the place for all industry needs and that would translate into making the conferences must attend events.

Name: Katie Richcreek
FSGA Member Company: Action Network
Professional and personal background:
I’ve spent the majority of this past decade on the front lines of innovation in digital sports media, kickstarting my career on Bleacher Report’s industry-leading social media team in 2015. After a stint at ESPN.com — where I learned the ins-and-outs of digital operations as a one-year associate before being hired as a national NFL editor — I poured all my passion for connecting fans with the sports they love into establishing and expanding the Action Network’s digital footprint as the eventual Managing Editor, playing a pivotal role in its emergence as the leader in independent sports betting media. Now, I have the pleasure of strategizing Action’s path forward as part of the greater Better Collective network through talent recruitment, retention, and management of everything in-between. A Southern California native who overcorrected “leaving her hometown” for Bristol, Connecticut (and its 100 fewer days of sun), I now live in Denver, Colorado with my All-American five-breed rescue and college sweetheart (who I’ve unfortunately lost to thrice in our seven-year keeper league).
Statement of Interest & Vision:
I believe the path toward a future in which fans from all 50 states have access to sports wagering in a fair and competitive mobile marketplace — while still enjoying fantasy sports as a game of skill — runs through decision-making bodies that reflect the passions and perspectives of the full spectrum of their demographic. So, to be frank, I see my vision as being akin to yours: I want every fan to have a piece of the action. To connect with the sports they love. And so my *interest* lies in the opportunity to bring a new lived perspective to this particular table.

Name: Justin Schoenfelder
FSGA Member Company: Fantasy Elect
Professional and personal background:
The diversity of my personal and professional background is a strength that will serve the organization when I am on the board. I have lived in over 10 states and in Asia which has developed in me the ability to relate and communicate effectively with diverse groups that may have disparate interests. I have used this personal ability in my professional life in varied industries. Having the ability to empathetically lead and apply novel thinking to solve problems individually and as part of a team is my greatest strength.
Statement of Interest & Vision:
I believe innovation can go beyond the technology we build and should be part of the businesses we create and the organization that supports them. I am new to the organization and I’m not a fantasy sports or sports betting participant which might be seen by some as a reason to exclude me from consideration but I think that is exactly why I should be on the board. I don’t see the industry with the same institutional knowledge or blindspots that may accompany those with deeper roots in the industry and organization. My vision is for the association to push an innovative agenda that is focused on proactively molding the environment rather than responding to it. This would include closer ties with esports and other non-traditional games, for instance. I believe we are at an inflection point and it takes a combination of insiders and outsiders to come up with novel approaches to address the challenges we face now and, more importantly, get ahead of the challenges we’ll face in the future.
